  1. Remove (3) T25 screws from under dash panel Pull the smaller left panel to release the upper clips and carefully set panel aside Pull the larger panel to release the upper clips and carefully set panel aside.
    • Remove (3) T25 screws from under dash panel

    • Pull the smaller left panel to release the upper clips and carefully set panel aside

    • Pull the larger panel to release the upper clips and carefully set panel aside.

  2. Using the EIS tool, unscrew the retaining ring for the ignition cylinder and set aside Reach up from the under dash and pull down the EIS module to access the wiring on the back of EIS Reach up from the under dash and pull down the EIS module to access the wiring on the back of EIS
    • Using the EIS tool, unscrew the retaining ring for the ignition cylinder and set aside

    • Reach up from the under dash and pull down the EIS module to access the wiring on the back of EIS

  3. Disconnect white 8-pin plug from EIS Connect OEM white 8-pin plug to mating 8-pin plug on SMRTIDLE T-harness
    • Disconnect white 8-pin plug from EIS

    • Connect OEM white 8-pin plug to mating 8-pin plug on SMRTIDLE T-harness

    • Connect 8-pin plug from SMRTIDLE T-harness to EIS where OEM 8-pin plug was removed

    • Start vehicle manually to verify vehicle is operating correctly and free from errors

    • If the vehicle does not start, check T-harness connections and make sure that module is plugged in. Check for power at the EIS

  4. Use provided OBD programmer to program high idle. Click here for OBD programming instructions.
  5. Re-install the EIS in dash
    • Re-install the EIS in dash

    • Screw on the retaining ring using EIS tool

    • Mount SMRTIDLE module safely and securely

    • Do not mount module or run wiring harness near any moving parts or heat sources.

    • Be careful not to mount modules or run harness near steering column or foot pedals.

    • Re-install dash panels and screws
