Introduction

The 907RAD-REP is a radio replacement harness kit that is used to replace the OEM radio (single din, non-MBUX radio) on a 2019 or 2020 Sprinter.

Installation involves the following:

    • Remove factory radio

    • This kit is only compatible with the non-MBUX (single din) OEM radios. If you have the MBUX radio, please contact Mid City Engineering for more information and options

    • Disconnect large radio plug from rear of OEM radio

    • Disconnect blue antenna plug from OEM radio

  1. Connect black wire from provide harness to aftermarket radio ground wire
    • Connect black wire from provide harness to aftermarket radio ground wire

    • Connect speaker wires to amp or speakers

    • Connect yellow wire from provided harness to constant (battery) power wire for aftermarket radio

    • Be sure to solder and insulate these connections

  2. Provided in the kit is a red lead with a fuse and fuse holder terminal on the end. That wire must be run to the fuse box under the passenger side floor and will provide ignition power to the aftermarket radio and amplification to the antenna

    • Route fuse terminal end of the red wire from radio cavity to fuse box under passenger floor

    • Pin fuse terminal into spot where red wire is shown in picture. Connect fuse from the top

    • The opposite end of the red lead used in step 5 will provide ignition power to the aftermarket radio and amplification to the antenna adapter.

    • Connect red wire to ignition power wire from aftermarket radio

    • Connect blue wire from antenna adapter harness used in step 4 to red lead and ignition wire from radio

    • You should have 3 wires connected together

    • Provided red wire that is pinned to the fuse box

    • Ignition wire from aftermarket radio

    • Blue wire from antenna adapter harness

    • Be sure to solder and insulate these connections.

  3. Disconnect the 8 pin black plug from the OEM radio harness
    • Disconnect the 8 pin black plug from the OEM radio harness

    • Disconnect the 8 pin white plug from the OEM radio harness

    • Using the provided 8 pin adapter, connect the OEM black plug and the OEM white plug- being sure to match the wire colors across both plugs and the harness

    • Connect aftermarket radio harness and wired radio replacement harness to aftermarket radio

    • Connect radio replacement harness to OEM radio chassis harness that was removed from the radio in step 2

    • Connect blue antenna plug that was removed from OEM radio in step 2 to the adapter on the radio replacement harness

    • Connect the antenna plug from the radio replacement harness to the antenna port on the aftermarket radio

    • Test radio functions

    • Mount radio appropriately
